It is yet another Valentine's Day, a day globally known for showing and receiving love. Here are some curated ideas to help couples decide what to do together to strengthen their bond on this romantic day.

Good old lunch/dinner date

You can never go wrong with a simple lunch or dinner date. Make reservations that suit the two of you and to a restaurant you both haven’t been to before for a wholesome first experience together. If a restaurant is not favorable for you, cooking for your significant other at home is also a great idea. Be sure to make it different from your usual meals at home. Light a candle or two!

Couple’s spa date

Look up spas around you and treat yourselves to a day filled with love and relaxation. If you have had the kind of January that I did, you surely deserve a nice pampering session, and what better way to do it than with your significant other?

Movie night

You can go to the cinema for this, or select a romantic film/movie to watch while snuggled up under a blanket together.

Letter writing

In this day and age of social media, traditional letter writing has surely lost its touch. However, you and your boo can bring it back by exchanging handwritten love letters. This is a sure way of enhancing the intimacy that you already share.

Picnic date

Pack all your favorite snacks and drinks and go enjoy in a scenic spot together, preferably in nature. Soak in each other’s love and the beauty of nature.

Vision Board

I know. A vision board for Valentine’s Day seems wild but imagine it as a representation of the goals and dreams that you share with your lover. It is a great way to set intentions of how you want the relationship to look in a few months or years.

Games

Yes, buy those couple games (even the naughty ones- especially the naughty ones), and enjoy bonding while discovering each other’s interests all over again. Take scores if you must, but remember the aim of the games is to bring you closer together.

Dance night

This is as simple as it sounds. Dance the night away in each other’s arms either at the comfort of your home with your music, or take it to an actual dance floor. Let the music take you and your lover away!

Gift giving

Before you do this, make sure you know your lover’s love language, so that you can gift each other keeping this in mind. Make sure to get them something meaningful to them, something long-lasting and memorable, such that they will always remember and feel special and appreciated.

A simple getaway

Valentine’s Day this year falls on a weekday, therefore pushing the plans to the weekend would not be the worst thing. Pick out some romantic destinations for you and your person to go enjoy some quality time together.

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY LOVERS!
